Welcome to Volhynian Village Adventure Tours.
This well-known and proven tour company was founded in 1993 by Don Miller, American historian, educator, writer, and genealogist. In 2015 Don retired and the business was turned over to Alex. Click here to learn more about Alex your tour guide.
One popular feature of the tour is its limited group size and the personalized attention given to individual needs and desires. The tour is usually limited to seven or eight persons and offers a leisurely, yet in-depth, visit of each person’s ancestral village.
It also provides an opportunity to work in the archives, spend a day sight-seeing in the historic city of Kiev, including a delightful cruise down the Dneiper River, and lots of opportunities to be immersed in Ukrainian culture and history.
Two tours are offered each year, one in May and the other in September, when the weather is nice and villagers are eager for interaction with tour members.
A customized tour, and/or an extended tour to Poland and Belarus, can be arranged upon request.
Also, you can rent a car with an English-speaking guide to re-visit any villages or do a side trip. You can also make a stopover in Europe to visit family and friends, or do additional research and touring. Any departure from the regular itinerary is at your own expense.
